What Can Invisalign Offer You?

Want to get straighter teeth without having a mouth full of metal–Invisalign may be for you! There are options for adults and teens alike that want to straighten their teeth just a little bit or for those who need full orthodontic treatment. Humana estimates that over 4 million people in the United States wear braces, with 1 million of those being adults. With modern technology, you don’t have to have only one option when it comes to straightening your teeth. Invisalign is a popular service Mountain Aire Dentistry offers and one you might have heard of. Invisalign is the revolutionary teeth-straightening system that consists of customized transparent aligners that fit snuggly to your teeth. Every two weeks, we give you a new aligner to gently move teeth into position, even if the teeth are very crooked. At Mountain Aire Dentistry, we use 3-D computer software to observe the unique shape of your teeth and create a specific treatment plan for you. There are a myriad of benefits of Invisalign, the greatest being that the aligners are transparent. Learn the benefits and process of Invisalign teeth straightening and see what it can offer you.

How the Process Works

We want to work with you to determine the best orthodontic plan for your needs, so consultations for Invisalign are free at our office. Dr. Berry is trained to use 3-D imaging to view your teeth and create a customized plan for you and a projected outline of what your teeth will look like at the end of treatment. Dr. Berry will be able to tell you how long the process will take. He will also make your transparent aligners for the duration of your treatment, and these are to be worn the majority of the day (even when you sleep). Wear your transparent aligners except when you eat, drink, brush and floss your teeth. The typical process will take between 9 – 15 months depending on how well you wear your aligners and the unique anatomy of your mouth. Your teeth will move a little bit with each new liner, and we will typically meet with you every 6 weeks to see how the process is going and if your teeth are moving correctly. At the end of treatment, you can receive a customized retainer to wear at night to keep that beautiful smile straight for years to come.

The Benefits of Invisalign

  • Invisalign uses clear aligners, which means that you can straighten your teeth at home, in the office, or anywhere you would like—discreetly.
  • Our 3-D imaging software can show you a preview for what your teeth will look like at the end of your treatment, so there is no guessing game.
  • The transparent aligners are completely removable, so you can eat what you want and when you want. With traditional braces, patients often have to go without foods such as hard candies, popcorn, gummy bears, hard pretzels, hard chips (like Doritos) and more. With Invisalign, you don’t have to skip any of your favorite treats, but you reap all the benefits of a straight smile.
  • You can clean your teeth easily without having to worry about using flossers to get in between brackets. Food does not become stuck on Invisalign aligners (unless you eat with them but we advise you not to) and no metal brackets are glued to your teeth. As always, it’s recommended to brush and floss your teeth twice a day, but this will be so much easier without having to work around metal brackets.
  • You’ll have fewer office visits than those with traditional metal brackets. We know your time is valuable, and Invisalign saves you time by following a set teeth-straightening routine without having to come into the office to get brackets adjusted.
  • No pokey wires! Invisalign aligners are sleek and fit snugly and smoothly to your teeth in your mouth. After some time, they will become normal to wear and you won’t even notice them.

Invisalign Can Give You Confidence

Crooked teeth can put added pressure on your teeth, especially when you chew. Food can easily become stuck in crooked teeth and they are usually harder to clean than straight pearly whites. Many studies have shown that having a straight smile makes you more confident and can even lead to more success in your home, school, and professional life. In a study of over 2,000 people conducted by Invisalign, they found that with a straighter smile, 60% or more of the respondents felt happier, more attractive and more confident after treatment. Their poll also showed that straight teeth was second only to weight when it came to body insecurity, so straighter teeth improved their self-esteem. Almost 80% of those polled said that straightening their teeth were one of the most important things they’ve done. Not only can straighter teeth offer you these benefits, but straighter teeth have also been shown to decrease your risk for gum disease and tooth decay because they are easier to clean and take care of than crooked teeth.

Having straighter teeth is worth the investment of time it takes to get them. We can work with you to find a plan that is right for you and with your budget. Call us today at (303) 731-7755 for a free consultation and see if Invisalign is right for you.
