How the Process Works

We want to work with you to determine the best orthodontic plan for your needs, so consultations for Invisalign are free at our office. Dr. Bockrath is trained to use 3-D imaging to view your teeth and create a customized plan for you and a projected outline of what your teeth will look like at the end of treatment. Dr. Bockrath will be able to tell you how long the process will take. He will also make your transparent aligners for the duration of your treatment, and these are to be worn the majority of the day (even when you sleep). Wear your transparent aligners except when you eat, drink, brush and floss your teeth. The typical process will take between 9 – 15 months depending on how well you wear your aligners and the unique anatomy of your mouth. Your teeth will move a little bit with each new liner, and we will typically meet with you every 6 weeks to see how the process is going and if your teeth are moving correctly. At the end of treatment, you can receive a customized retainer to wear at night to keep that beautiful smile straight for years to come.
